Make Money on MySpace

There's a new company on the internet that's leaching off of MySpace's popularity. myspacevortal.com lets you add a search field on your myspace profile. You get paid for searches that are made from your profile. I haven't had the chance to try it, but I am pretty excited to learn that you can make money with your myspace profile. I will be tryin myspacevortal's services in a couple of days and will write a report about my experience.

Clean Profile Layout

I've found this great tutorial on how to create a clean MySpace profile layout. Mike Industries is offering a download of their free MySpace layout, but its best if you actually take the time to understand and learn how to customize it. Thanks Mike!

AOL Takes On MySpace

AOL, this month, launched its own social-networking service for its users called AIM Pages. At the moment it is only available in beta test mode. This service will allow users of AIM pages to expand their network of friends using a similar service to MySpace.

'24' And MySpace

MySpace will begin selling episodes of FOX Networks' primetime drama series '24'. Episodes from seasons 1 through 5 will be sold for a small amount of money each. They will also provide some free episodes sponsored by Burger King.

MySpace Help Promote Movie

A promotional profile page helped the movie 'Stick it' to gain mass awareness in MySpace networks and probably beyond.
Although marketing in internet communities is not a new thing, there are still some people who are just discovering this great networking/marketing/promotional system.
MySpace is the leading internet community on the net. Promoting a product in its networks will surely bring you traffic and possibly sales.

Texas College Bans MySpace.com

Del Mar, a college in Corpus Cristi, Texas, banned the use of MySpace.com in its school's computer network. It was reported that heavy traffic to MySpace.com was using up too much bandwith, slowing down the schools network.
Students now have to use computers outside of the college if they want to access MySpace.com.

Congress and Social-Networking

There are some in Congress who think that access to social-networking sites such as MySpace should regulated in public schools and libraries. This means that kids will have to wait untill they get home or wait till they find a seat at the nearest Starbucks.
